Premium Exterior

High-quality Thermowood cladding as standard, selected for its durability, stability, and premium appearance.

Unlike many garden room companies that only clad the front elevation, we clad all visible external sides wherever possible, helping ensure the cabin looks exceptional from every angle.

High-Quality Double Glazing

High-quality double-glazed aluminium doors and windows, with the option of sliding or bi-fold door systems depending on your preferred layout and cabin design.

Slimline matte black frames create a clean architectural appearance while maximising natural light throughout the space.

Secure Multi-Point Locking System

All main doors include secure multi-point locking systems designed to provide everyday security and peace of mind.

Fully Insulated SIPs Structure

All cabins are constructed using high-performance 97mm Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) throughout the walls, floor, and roof.

This creates a highly insulated, energy-efficient structure designed for year-round comfort.

Finished Interior

Internally, cabins are fully plasterboarded, plastered, and painted in matte white, with matching skirting boards fitted throughout.

The result is a bright, clean, finished space designed to feel more comparable to a modern room extension than a traditional garden building.

Flooring

Premium LVT flooring is included as standard, providing a durable, low-maintenance, hard-wearing finish ready for everyday use from day one.

Designed to combine the appearance of natural flooring with the practicality needed for everyday garden room use.

Heating

A WiFi-controlled electric radiator is included as standard, allowing you to remotely manage the temperature and maintain a comfortable environment throughout the year.

Combined with the insulated SIPs structure, this helps create an efficient and comfortable year-round space.

Electrical Package

Each cabin includes concealed internal cabling, internal and external lighting, multiple double plug sockets, and a dedicated consumer unit.

All first-fix electrical work is completed during installation, ready for final connection to your property by a qualified electrician.

Lighting

Low-profile, fire-rated LED downlights illuminate both the interior and porch areas of the cabin, creating a clean and contemporary finish.

Separate switching allows the internal and external lighting to be controlled independently for added flexibility and convenience.

Waterproofing & Weather Protection

The external structure of each cabin is protected using a high-performance breathable membrane system designed to help prevent moisture ingress while allowing the building to breathe.

Combined with durable EPDM rubber roofing, this creates a highly weather-resistant structure built for long-term performance.

Professional Installation

Your cabin is professionally installed on-site by our experienced team with a strong focus on precision, finish quality, and attention to detail.

You’ll deal directly with the same small team throughout the project, from quotation through to installation.

Many of our standard models can be installed within approximately 10–15 working days once foundations are prepared.

Waste Removal

All installation waste is removed and responsibly disposed of by our team, leaving your garden clean, tidy, and ready to enjoy.

Planning-Friendly Design

Our standard cabin range is designed under 2.5m in height to fall within most permitted development guidelines, meaning planning permission is often not required.

10-Year Structural Warranty

Every Backyard Cabin includes a 10-year structural warranty, giving you long-term confidence in the quality, materials, and workmanship of your garden room.

To keep pricing flexible depending on your specific project requirements, the following are typically excluded from the base cabin price:

Backyard Cabins is a small, hands-on business built around quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

From first enquiry through to installation, you’ll deal directly with Nick and Matthew, the same people involved in designing, building, and delivering your cabin.

Unlike larger factory-led garden room companies, we don’t outsource installations to third-party fitting teams or mass-produce cabins as quickly as possible. Every project is carefully built on-site with a strong focus on finish quality, long-term durability, and creating a space that genuinely enhances your home.
